Shoeboxes of Love

We’re thrilled to invite you to join us in our heartfelt annual Shoeboxes of Love initiative! Since 2016, we’ve been spreading joy to local children in need. It all started when Alex wanted to show her own children the happiness that comes from sharing with others, especially when following the guiding principle of “give where you live”. She and her two kiddos rallied the support of other parents and students at their elementary school to create special shoeboxes filled with goodies for kids who might not otherwise receive a gift at the holidays.
These shoeboxes aren’t your ordinary gifts — they’re packed with warm winter gear like toques, gloves, and socks, along with fun treats like Legos, stuffed animals, and craft supplies. Thanks to generous local dentists, each box also includes toothbrushes and toothpaste.
But we can’t do it alone! Your donations help us buy supplies in bulk, allowing us to fill even more shoeboxes. With partners like Michelle Broadbent of Desjardins and Centennial School, we aim to deliver at least 750 boxes every holiday season, complete with a hot breakfast on the big day.
Over the years, we’ve touched the lives of thousands of kids in Edmonton, making the Shoeboxes of Love a true symbol of hope and happiness during the holiday season. So, join the fun and spread some love with us here at Powerhouse Print!
